Awning length on a short bed

I have an 8ft awning (batwing) and a short box with a smartcap and prinsu canopy rack. How I have to install it makes the awning stick 3 ft in front of the rack. Is this okay or will it be a problem eventually? Is it worth selling and buying a compact version (6.5ft)? Thanks again for your help.

Same here. 8’ awning, 6.5’ bed. Over hangs the cab a touch but it’s very functional. I’m happy to have the bigger one when being behind the truck (270 awning)

I used to run a 6,8’ RTT with an 8,2’ Batwing. Try to keep the front mount as far in the front as possible. That should work fine. I never had issues with it.
