Awning “L” bracket/RTT mounting question

  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. Hey Guys,

Hoping someone has done this before so i can figure out if it works, So i got a smittybilt RTT model 2783 and a smittybilt awning 2784. Now my question is can i use the “L” bracket of the awning instead of the little metal bar used to secure the tent. Ive posted pictures to try and explain what i mean.
