Coming up in December of this year (2018) the family and I are going to be driving back to our hometown for Christmas. Our starting point will be San Diego (obviously since this is where we live) heading up to Zion National Park, stopping at North Rim of the Grand Canyon to Moab, Utah through Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, down to Mississippi where I am from and the over to Florida where our family currently lives. On the way back we primarily will be following Interstate 10 all the way back but more of the Scenic Routes. We would love to take our time but only have a month to do all this and want to spend about 2 weeks of that with our family in Florida. So please any recommendations of amazing stops, and sights worth seeing/camping/shortcuts/off-roading along this route would be greatly appreciated.
