Around the world in a £150 "Rig"

Contributor I

Hi guys, firstly thank you accepting me in to the Overland Bound community.

Just over a year ago I bought a Nissan Micra for £150 off Gumtree (UK Craigslist), then replaced a few parts; clutch, brakes, front suspension arms and added some stickers. I then set off with Global Convoy to see how far we would make it in our cars. Along the way we picked up hitchhikers everywhere, including extra vehicles giving us at one point a convoy of 5 cars and 26 people! In total we picked up over 100 people from 30+ different nations.
Throughout the 46 countries and 40,000 miles covered I have driven, through deserts, jungles, 4,700m mountains passes and Siberian tundra. Yes we had countless breakdowns and parts couldn't be found, (2 continents we visited have never had a Micra or March introduced in to the country).

I hope everyone enjoys the photos and there is a YouTube series can be found here.

Best adventures to you all and safe travels

Hi Steve, I hope you enjoy the videos as much as I did experiencing them.
Hopefully, I can meet up with some people in the future.
