Arctic Ocean

I finally got around to taking a longish (11,000 miles) road trip that I’d been wanting to do for 40 years: Virginia to the Arctic Ocean and back, with a side trip through Alaska so I could visit my 50th state. Mostly decent weather, better roads than expected, and lots of mosquitoes.

I have fond memories of our trip through North America. Alaska and Northwest Canada were definitely big highlights of this trip.

El-Dracho, it was an inflatable kayak that we planned to use at Tuktoyuktuk to see Pingo Canadian Landmark. Unfortunately, the day we were there the winds were pretty strong and we didn’t feel it was safe to take it out. My significant other later got to use it in Banff National Park, so she was happy.
