Anyone tried OffGridCamp

Thanks for sharing. I didn't know that yet.

Just had a look at the website. So, it's basically a marketplace to bring overlander and the sites' owners together. Why not? Looks like a good concept. It's limited to Great Britain and Northern Ireland, right? Have you tried it and any experience with it?

I think it’s doing more than that. In the UK wild camping is illegal and you need planning permission to set up a camp site. However “clubs” are able to give that permission for “campsites” for up to 5 vans.

So I guess Off Grid camp are a registered club and they are giving farmers the ability to set up camp spots on their land.

I haven’t tried it yet but I will As soon as we have the new truck.

I also think it’s somewhat different to Landvergnügen. As I understand it Landvergnügen Is like France Passion, Britstops. They work in the same way (especially that legal bit in the UK) but the stops tend to be aimed at Campervans and Motorhomes not 4x4. Because of this legal quirk, there are other versions of this concept in the UK e.g. Greener Camping
