Hello!

I am considering installing 2 radio transceivers in my JK's center console, an Icom ID5100a 50/15/5 watt selectable mobile ham, and a Uniden Pro 520 XL 4 watt mobile Cb. I plan use them while the console is closed. Might there be any heat/airflow issues? I can vent the console if necessary. Might there be any issue with running 2 units that close together having both powered up at the same time? If so I can mount one/both of them elsewhere. Trying my best to keep my equipment out of sight and to not clutter up the cabin.

Thanks for your help!

I have used small fans like from a power inverter or a computer fan and put it on a switch or it will only come on when you turn on the ignition.

Thanks for the reply!

I'm leaning towards mounting the CB by the drivers side right knee and the ham by the passenger left knee, but who knows! I've also seen radios mounted on the top roll bar so the speaker is close to the driver.
