Finally, the time had come again. The annual spring meeting was just around the corner. As in previous years, @El-Dracho organised the location and encouraged other members to contribute to the OB community. Once again this year, there were some great workshops to expand or refresh your knowledge. Rick showed us impressively how we can find our way in nature if the GPS fails. In addition to theoretical input, there were also practical application examples such as a group pace walk.
After a short break, we refreshed our first aid skills. In addition to the different ways of stopping bleeding and the theoretical input on why it is so important to save every single drop of blood, the members were able to familiarise themselves with various materials.
After it got colder, Oliver and Moritz held a workshop on fire stations. Here, too, a lot of different material was passed around and it was demonstrated how easy it is to start a fire (with the right materials).
In addition to the workshops, there was, as every year, a lot of technical expertise on the members' vehicles and discussions about destinations and other things.
Björn had the idea of a book swap for the first time this year and next year there will be a Gera Market where members can swap, sell or give away old equipment.
Another highlight was that Matthias brought a stranded member to the Meet-up. That's exactly what makes the community so special.

Thanks for sharing all the photos and impressions from our Spring Meetup. It was a fantastic meetup and we all had a great time. Thanks to everyone who was there and contributed to it.

Thanks again to @NotGumby, @XC70_OVERLANDER , @Oligetorix and @Moritz Jung for the awesome workshops on orientation in nature, fire making and stop the bleed. Thank you to @MazeVX for making the SOS whistle for each attendee, that was a superb idea and is a really useful piece of gear.

And once again also here a very special thank you to you @MazeVX for taking @Moritz Jung to the meetup - who otherwise wouldn't have been able to attend because of his gearbox failure. This shows what a great community we are at Overland Bound, how members help each other and demonstrates the spirit of this community.

Looking forward to the next meetup with you guys.

See you soon,

Bjoern
