Started off chatting with an old time logger and scoped out a trail worth exploring......Yard Creek Road to the end, then up an active logging trail, then branched off onto an abandon trail. Started off at 1195 ft above sea level and topped off at to 4818 ft with 919f59839bde3699fd28bd5da497f921.jpg c397569a2774268e8ea1688f3bec9af1.jpg b69756db99749288d90b505a6706b1fe.jpg 3accc91bcf63f0776114462d2922a27f.jpg 9714bf183988be08c021fb5604fc4579.jpg an average grade of 15%. I had to turn back as the weather was starting to turn and trail conditions can change quickly.

I like the way the clouds reflect off of the windshield! At first I thought it was snow piled up.

So far on this trip into the back country I have seen 4 bears and one cougar.

Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of the cougar. Off all the years exploring mountain trails I have never seen a cougar... WOW, they are big and fast! Out of the four people I was with only two of us saw the cougar

Now, I'm on the look out for Sasquatch.....
