I’m on the proverbial fence. Back in the late 80s I had terrible sag on my 87 company F250. Ladder racks, side tool boxes, scaffolding, a utility trailer. Loaded most of the time. Took it to a spring shop and for a couple hundred bucks they added a couple of leafs- problem solved, truck rode level. Today? Companies like Carli are way overpriced. Not happening, not doing it. Spoke to Jeff at Deaver springs, they build all of Carlis overpriced stuff. He can set me up. Probably for a fair price. However- that means a trip down into the LA basin and staying there a couple of days in a hotel in Santa Ana, ( yuk ). I went to a mom & pop spring shop near our daughters- no problem- they can remove the 2” block I put in to level up temporarily, add a couple of leafs for about $1,000. Fair enough. Then I recalled the ride in that 87. Even loaded, it was friggin harsh, at best. Which brings me to the Logiqaire air springs. Removing the overload spring, removing the 2” block, install them. Yes, the load is constant. If they were to fail? Should I leave the 2” blocks as they are? Damn, coil sprung Landcruisers were easy, remove and replace with OME coils that were rated for the weight. Why Logiqaire? Full extension, they will not rip apart at full droop. A pair on each side will eliminate fore & aft rocking. Comfortable ride. Why spring packs? Simplicity. Any thoughts from members will be appreciated. Thanks!
