Air on front bumper

I mounted a female quick connection on my front bumper for airing up tires. I keep getting corrosion on the fitting. I have a rubber cap. Ideas on prevention? Maybe stainless fittings?

Yes, stainless. Be careful though, there are a lot of stainless imposters. Usually if you pay top dollar it is real stainless and not just coated. Better you should consult your local mom & pop hardware store to get the best product, better yet, if you have a marina hardware store nearby, go there.
