Tired of shoving camping gear into your vehicle until you're bursting at the seams with little space left for you and your family? And do you wince at the high price of commercially-built cargo trailers? This high-clearance, off-road cargo trailer will solve your problems. The main compartment measures 63" (L) x 48" (W) x 29" (H). That's over 50 cubic feet of storage capacity! The front compartment comes in at 14 cubic feet and can be used to store wood, garbage, dirty clothes, etc. The metal rack on top offers even more storage capacity and will accept a roof top tent. The all-steel construction, beefy 3500 lb Flexiride axle with electric brakes, 16-inches of ground clearance, and Heim swivel joint trailer coupler will enable you to travel along challenging, 4-wheel-low-only dirt roads to access remote areas. This trailer's been to the Doll House in the Maze District of Canyonlands. Other amenities include gas shocks on both lid openings, rhino-lining underneath and inside, two 12v lights inside main storage area, a battery, a 7-pin hitch connector, full spare wheel and tire, locking lids, and hooks for mounting a Trasharoo to the side. Water and gas cans can be mounted to the fenders. $4500.

Did you build it or buy it? Great looking trailer. A great size to go on some tight trails.

Thanks for the compliment! We developed the overall design after going out and looking at many other trailers. None of them really met our need for a high-quality, rugged, high-volume trailer that could go all the places that our FJ can go as well as carry a variety of gear (kayaks, shade tent, bikes, and enough water, fuel, and food for a week "off the grid"). The professional welder and fabricator we hired helped to refine the design and to bring our dream to life. It tracks right behind our FJ and made tent-camping and exploring soooo much easier and fun. It easily made it past Teapot Rock in The Maze twice!

The only reason we're selling it is because we got a tremendous deal on an off-road "square-drop" trailer that we can sleep in and now we've run out of garage space. Let us know if you have any questions.

It would look great being pulled behind my FJ. Where are you located?

Also is there any damage to the trailer? Are all the panels free from damage? Electrical cables are in good condition?

Would you mind providing the outside dimensions of the main box and overall trailer?

Thank you,

Jason

Great trailer!

A few questions...

Are both box interiors water tight?

Related to the above, is there any rust?

How high is the center of the heim joint (hitch) when the trailer is level?

Thank you!

Hi, Bob.

Are both box interiors water tight? Both boxes are, in fact, water tight. The lids fit down over the sides and have spongey weather-stripping as well.

No rust. The trailer was constructed in Arizona and stored inside our garage. Since we've moved to Colorado (less than a year ago) it's not been used nor exposed to salt.

How high is the center of the heim joint (hitch) when the trailer is level?

We're out on an adventure at the moment and can get back to you later this week as to the hitch height.

Cheers,

Steph and Blake

The height of the center of the hitch when the trailer is level is 17 or 17.5 inches. It's sitting on gravel at the moment, so it is difficult to be more precise than that.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
