Hey guys.
First time posting, looking for advice on a dual battery and management system! You guys seems like you have a wealth of knowledge and can hopefully help me out!
Me and my girlfriend are touring around Australia early next year and don't want to skimp on the battery system.
The secondary battery will be running a 75L dometic fridge, pump, UHF, compressors, camp lights, recharging laptops... all that jazz
I've decided on a 200ah lithium battery, but not sure on what management system I should get.
I was looking into and close to buying the "Enerdrive eSYSTEM DIY Installation Kits", probably the eSYS-C arrangement along with their 200ah lithium battery.
(eSYSTEM DIY Installation Kits - Enerdrive Independent Power Solutions)
But now I'm having second thoughts after have looked into the "REDARC TVMSKIT05 RedVision Manager30 Kit" which I could pick up for $2,620 AUD at the moment. Or even going with a custom Victron setup
I'm trying to keep costs down, but want something quality as we'll be gone for around a year and going to remote places. I'm willing to spend $5,000 to $7,000AUD on the battery management system, a 1500W/2000W inverter and the 200ah lithium battery. Happy to even get some second hand parts that may not be as important.
So basically, if you guys were starting from scratch and had my sort of budget would you go with a Enerdrive, Redarc, Victron or some other branded setup? I'm not a electrician but wouldn't be opposed to building a more complex system if I ended up saving a lot. Also, I will only have solar blankets laid out at camp, none on the roof.
Don't need all the bluetooth bells and whistles for monitoring every single device either
Looking forward to all your advice!!
Cheers, Scott
Also forgot to add. If I did go with the redarc system, would the enerdrive battery be fine? Or is it better sticking with the same manufacture across parts.
