So Yeah here we go. I'm Chris and this winter and spring I lived and traveled around in a 40'5th wheel. It was not for me but somewhere in that adventure I had found the Overland Community and you all here. So here a few months after being introduced to it I am on the planning stage to make a 9 month journey. Between now and March I'll be posting some of my plans and progress on here.

My only real progress so far has been lifting my Disco 1.5 inches

It's a Disco, get a good set of tools first. LOL!! Just kidding (mostly). Sounds like you are planing an adventure. Tires realy depends on terrain. Where are you taking the vehicle, what kind of terain do you need to travel over to get their?

True. Lol a good set of tools is owned. True, what my goal is makes a difference.

I'm on the fence between a few.

BFG KM2 or KO2
Toya Open Country MT
Or wrangler Dura tracks

Toya's are probably my favorite from my jeep days but unsure of they are the best choice.

I like my Goodyear Duratracs, great tire for many different terrains. BFG's will last longer, and have more size options. Also a great tire. I have no experience with Toyo, so can't speak to them with experience.

Just put Nitto Terra Grabbers G2 on, after much consideration these are what I went with.

I'm heading towards Cortez Colorado and venturing out from there. Have no set adventure plans. Hopefully I'll hear about some different meetings within the OB group but otherwise I'll free style most of my summer.

As for upgrades.
1: winch
2: skid plated
3:

4: front runner or similar roof rack
5: bead lock wheels (plan on having a 7 total, 3 spares)
6: lipo batteries
7: side awning
8: shower tube
9: tools and recovery equipment
10: front and rear arb lockers
11: compressor and tank for tools
12: Solar panel
13: auxiliary lights
14: snorkel
15: limb raisers

I'm sure I'm missing something, but that's my list so far, not in that order
