Hi Everyone,

Newish Overland Bound members. My wife (Nichell) and I bought our 80 Series Land Cruiser (Factory Triple Lock) about 2 years ago.

Today we dropped it off at ARD (A Rusted Development) in Kamas / Heber Utah with Jake to start our multiple phase rebuild project.

It’s been a fun rig so far, stock engine, with 35 inch tires, 2 inch OME lift.

Over the last year we really started to run into limitations of the stock engine. It felt under powered especially with the additional weight we carry for our trips. Figured with the gear we’re planning to add this would get worse.

So we made the jump to do an LS3 Swap. Here are the specs of Phase 1:

480 LS3 Engine
Radiator - Hand Built
Engine Accessory Package
Transmission to Transfer Case Adapter
Splitcase Transfer Case from FJ 60
Exhaust System
Custom Driveshafts
Modify Fuel Pump
ECU and Harness Engine Control
Transmission Control ECU and Harness
4x4 Labs 80 Series Rear Bumper
ARB Delux Front Bumper
Frame Anti-Rust and Bedliner
Looking for a good Winch option
Also adding LandTanks seat mod for some legroom.

Will keep you guys posted on the build progress.

Nice plans. Are you doing the swap yourself?
