Hey everyone me a buddy and my mom's went on a fun 5 day excursion all around the 395 in so cal a few months back. We hit a new spot each day except for day 4/5 we stayed in one spot cause we fell in love with the area. I'll post pics and videos here shortly.

Day 3/4 this is the day we made it to laurel lakes and just camped out for 2 nights and played around in the lake. Boy was it cold.

Day 5 woke up and headed north to beatty ghost town and ate lunch in Bridgeport

Had a truly fun adventure and can't wait to move back to cali and be done with the military so I can do more adventures like this. Hope yall enjoy the pics.

That's awesome! Any maps or waypoints, landmarks, trail names, etc... I've never been through that way, but looks like something I'd like to try!

great job.... that book is great.... I would also highly recommend the GPX files with all their trails.... I cant remember how much it is but its nice to have everything loaded up on the tablet.

That looks like it would be a great trip for the summer. What was the water temp, when you were up there?
The lake was nice prolly high 40s low 50s. The river out of the mountains was ice cold prolly closer to low 30s high 20s. We jumped in the river and legs almost instantly went numb.

Great looking trip! Was looking into doing Laurel Lakes at the end of the month. Can I tackle it in a 2 x 4 4Runner?

There's nothing really crazy. Stock dodge rams make it up there.
The turn to go down to the lake is a bit of a duzy, in such that it's a hairpin turn on a shelf road. But it's doable for sure.
