Cathy (My Wife) and I will be there, sounds fun. We run a 4runner pulling an Turtleback Adventure. This will be our first OB event , unless we do something else before June. Looking forward to meeting you all.
Great!

I've been looking at these online for the last few weeks - hope you don't mind us taking a closer look at yours when we get there ;)

No problem. Don't we all like showing off our stuff! I will say it is one of the smaller Adventure Trail units, not the Expedition, but you are more than welcome to take a look.

Sounds great! We really don’t know what our exact requirements are. Once we get the topper for the truck I think the trailer size requirement may shrink from my original thoughts too.

Never wheeled/camped Colorado so I can't think of a better way to do it then with a group of like minded adventurous people

Great idea! :D

BTW, I know of at least two others that are planning trips for the San Juan area (Silverton, Ouray & Telluride) for this year so stay tuned!

This is our second annual extended weekend trip to Buena Vista Colorado!

--Please join us for an extended weekend of camping, exploring and getting to know our fellow Overland Bound members.

--This area offers countless camping opportunities as well as miles of mild 4WD roads. For those wanting something harder there are several high elevation 4WD roads nearby. We'll organize our 4WD outings as we finalize headcounts and determine what everyone is interested in.

--We will secure a campsite as early on Thursday as possible and will update this thread if the location changes.

See the notes section farther down the page for additional information.
So you guys will be out there on Thursday to secure a camp? If so, I was thinking of coming out earlier so I could make stops in Farmington and Durango on my way out and stay a day poking around Buena Vista. Would like to meet up early if allowed?

Sounds great - I think Telluride is on our summer bucket lists well. Need to start getting a calendar out soon ;)

The way it normally goes is that a couple of us will get there Thursday AM and then others will trickle in from then until Sat AM. We will iron things out as we get closer. Does that help?
