This post is for discussing the build on my new 2021 TRD PRO Sequoia rig for overland adventures with family and friends. The primary choice for a Sequoia was the ability to use the massive interior space for sleeping quarters vs. a rooftop tent with the amount of wind we have in the midwest. Primary use with family and friends is for easy - moderate trails.

Current modifications:

* Toyo Open Country MT 285 65 R18 10 Ply E Rated
* TRD Pro Spare Rim & matching Toyo Open Country MT
* Additional TRD Pro crossmembers (x3) for additional support (600 static weight lb distribution)
* Spare lock nut socket
* Yakima Megawarrior basket with extension for use on TRD Pro rack
* Yakima light mounts
* RIGd hitch mounted spare tire carrier (Toyota lug version)
* RIGd Rotopax mount
* Rotopax 4 gallon fuel
* Rotopax 2 gallon fuel
* Pro Eagle offroad jack
* Westcott designs Sequoia TRD Pro lift (1.5" front / 1" rear) for TRD Fox Shocks

Crossmembers arrived at a local dealership after searching nationwide for additional parts. I had to provide dealership of purchase and VIN to verify I actually owned a Sequoia TRD PRO.

This would be essential for mounting the Yakima Megawarrior with extension over six points on the TRD PRO rack.

1 week to CO overland trip. Added additional Rotopax fuel pax for backcountry preparedness and/or assistance to others. Rock Slide makes a great system for Rotopax on your spare tire. Using this All Top bag for review to see how it holds up next week.

Looking good. Im excited to hear about your experience on the trip with the hitch tire carrier and roof basket.
