That sounds like an awesome trip. Looking back on that, what worked, what would you do differently?
That trip was a "Go look, see, collect, take notes" I had business to do, and was on a timeline. Some of our best travel we have had in California and the Pac Northwest - was without a schedule, timeline and with fall-back plans. I love to Flyfish, take photos, hike trails. Sometimes a Canyon Hike turns into an unplanned overnight. No problem will drive a little harder, longer to get to the next fishing hole, trail head, etc. This year's trip into an area of Eastern BC, I didn't leave enough time to explore, but that too wasn't part of the plan, which is way we are planning two return trips, with no specific timelines, except the required drive time to get us from Boise to Fernie, and from Calgary back to Boise.
