Trying to figure out a good way to mount/transport my 10 lb propane other than inside my outback. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

At trailers has tank mounts for various applications, maybe you could retrofit one of those inside the cargo area. Or get a milk crate, put the tank in that, strap it down to the crate, then the crate to the cargo holds inside. Let us know what you come up with.
