Hey guys!
Just wanted to feature a build we just did this past week. Thought it might give some cool ideas for those with trucks.
This customer started off with a well-equipped Power Wagon(front and rear lockers, electronic sway bar disconnects, etc). We added:
-Freespirit Recreation High Country Tri-layer 80" RTT
-Leitner Designs ACS (Active Cargo System) Rack - capable of 1000lb static weight capacity, 250lb offroad weight capacity, and 500lb on road capacity
-Leitner Designs Extra Load Bar Kit 60"
-2 Leitner Designs Gear Pods
-1 Leitner Designs Gear Pod XL
-2 RotopaX 2.25 gallon fuel cans
-2 RotopaX 2 gallon water cans
-2 RotopaX Deluxe Pack Mounts
The Leitner Designs rack is the best option I've seen out there for pick-up trucks. They are available for newer Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Nissan, Toyota trucks. They stand behind their product with weight ratings, assuring the customer that they will be safe mounting a tent and accessories. I see too many companies building roof racks with no weight rating, accepting no liability in producing a safe product for the consumer. Kind of scary when you are mounting a 100-200lb potential projectile to the roof of a vehicle. Here are some pics of the build:
