This is long overdue, I apologize for the sparse pictures and time gaps. Most of the work I've done myself, by myself (translate as slow and frustrating :smirk: ), or had shop do an install. The truck was delivered on July 17, 2021.

I quickly learned that if a vehicle was previously registered in the Northeast, double check for rust underneath. Fortunately this Tacoma had the Frame replacement recall already completed, but the steel rim on the spare tire was a different story! That rim was not salvageable or safe!

I used to have an old Isuzu Rodeo, and loved the spare tire on the rear bumper swing out. Having a spare tucked up underneath a truck is a nightmare especially if you need it out on the trail. The need for a new spare, prompted the first set of upgrades... A Fab Fours rear bumper with the spare tire carrier. I ordered a stock Toyota rim to match, and upgraded the tires from stock to BFG T/A KO2 275/70R17 Load Range E

I installed an Auxbeam switch controller in the overhead sunglasses holder. That wasn't complicated; however, I notoriously break things, and have always been nervous about removing panels with clips...Lots of You Tube video "how to's" later I bit the bullet and dove in!

With the switch controller in place running the accessory LED lights was a breeze. The LED lights are all Amazon purchases, Nilight, Auxbeam, etc; so far I've been happy with the light output compared to the expense of the major brands.

I added some storage on the rear BajaRack for fuel and water, and some Amber LEDs for chase lights. I found a LED strobe module at Super Bright LEDS and was able to hook that up so the chase lights flash, when I push the button on the switch controller.

Next steps are the drawer system in the back and installing solar on the roof, with a REDARC BCDC1240 for charging my LiFEPO4 battery... I've got most of those pieces and parts, just playing Tetris with it...
