This was originally designed for a 2010 model ( stolen....) so I figured what could change in one model year to the box of a pickup truck. I figured wrong. After alot of alterations i got it to fit. Eventually i was able to install my Viair 100% duty cycle compressor and 2.5g tank. Red-top battery and dual battery monitoring system. Squished in an 1800w inverter and an over complicated lock & latch system.

I anti-slipped the tops, but other than that i think I'll leave the aluminum raw. Im currently building my off-road trailer and got some paint matched to the truck.

So next build project is a safari rack. It will store my recovery boards, jack, shovel, and axe. Ill mount my 20" ridgid light bar and four small work lights. Here i start with the bed rails. They are water jet formed 3/16" steel... Soo heavy!! Should have planed with aluminum.
Paints done. Just a simple gloss black. Heres the mounted light bar and four single LED work lights on the corners of the top tray. A little pre-wiring to make things easier and next will be final install.
So, here we have final install with the Smitty built recovery boards bolted up! Still working on brackets for a shovel, Hi-Lift and an axe.
Not yet. Im finishing my trailer right now, then im on to front and rear bumpers. This is what i made for a front bumper on my last truck. It got stolen;(. Think I'm gonna make something more of a pre-runner style this time.

Not as bad as I thought it would be. It does get pretty bad when im in a cross-wind though. I originally designed it for a rig with a sun-roof so it sits behind the front seats a little. I think that helps at highway speeds.
