Starting my build on my 2008 Ford Explorer, Eddie Bauer edition. All I've done to it so far has been to upgrade the tires with Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar. Made them a bit over size to improve the off-road handling.

Going in the next week instal new G.E.A.R. Seat covers from SmittyBuilt & 1.5" wheel spacers to widen the stance & eliminate the tire rub on the front wheel liners when I make a sharp turn.

Future plans are to instal a roof rack & install recovery points up front.

Eddie had a minor setback today. After grabbing some food Sunday at the local grocery store I got hit in my rear end. Need a new bumper cover & tail light. Thank god my brother in law owns a mechanical & body shop. Hope to have Eddie back together by the weekend.

Going where my heart will take me.

Update on Eddie. The wheel spacers started acting up last week. They was giving me a mild “death wobble”, So off they came. Had to order a new Garmin GPS my old 3.5” screen NUVI took a shit. After 9 years of use not to upset with it. Upgrading to a larger better model. Will be here on Wednesday Nov 08. Next mods will be front recovery points installed & a roof cage installed

Put in a new Garmin GPS in my Explorer “Eddie” This Drive 5 GPS is definitely an upgrade from my old 9 year old NUVI. I️ also installed Gaia mapping software on my iPad for off-road navigation. Also learning how to use Garmin’s new base camp software to help with trip planning
