Back in 2010 we had a Tentrax Trailer...ended up selling it; it was too small for our growing family. But in the market for a replacement before our trip next summer.

Looking at Rockbox trailers, mostly because they're semi local. Anyone have any experience with them?

If we're on extended travels I use:
(2) Frontrunner Wolf Packs on roof
Keeper Roof Cargo Bag - (1) XL North Face Cargo Duffle on roof
1 Can of gas and 2 Cans for water on the bumper
Hi-lift and Trasharoo on bumper

VERY nice 4-Runner!! We love pics and stories/rig info around here, keep us updated!

So I ended up selling the Gobi roof rack. I ultimately felt a flat rack would suit my needs more. I ended up going with a flat, low profile rack made by Prinsu.

Pros:
Weight, i think it's about 1/2 the weight of Gobi
Flat..allowing me to make trips to home depot easier
Planning for 2 RTTs. We'll have one on a soon to purchase trailer, and the other on the roof. Keeping the rack as low as possible to the roof was the goal
Cross bars are moveable
Less road noise

Cons:
The Gobi had a support at mid length of the rack. This one does not.

A few pics:

I guess I will have to jerry-rig something together or remove them. Do you have much body roll without the front sway bar?

Yes, the roll is noticeable, but tolerable. I can tell more when a lot of weight is on the roof. I suggest if you're going to run without a front sway bar, you opt for heavier spring rates on the coilovers. The radflo's i have have heavier spring rates then Icons, so the body roll is a bit more "controlled". I used to run Icons without a sway bar on my previous FJ Cruiser, and the roll body roll was much worse.

Thanks. I'd say the biggest drawback at this point is the space. I've got a growing family!
Lol, try it in a Wrangler. I really need to get my hands on a trailer like yours. I want to get an old m101 and put an RTT on it.
