Gas and some friends lol depends on where you're going and what you're doing (obviously) as art said just get out with some people and see what they are using all the time and what is used less often in your areas. Personally it was recovery boards for my sandy environment

Yeppers, unless you want a purpose built rig. Fuel, family/friends, food and water! Bam all modded up!

All joking aside. A recovery jack would be the one must have if no one else in your group has one. Don't forget they can be used as a light duty winch in a pinch!

P.S. Welcome and grats on the FJ a friend has one great whip!

Hey I'm new to this and just bought a fj. What are some first must have buys? It has a 3 inch lift with nitto trail grapplers

So VERY dependant on what your goals are.

I always say recovery gear and learning how to use it is the first step. Proper recovery gear like a recovery strap, shackles, etc.

Don't rush into anything. Get the basics... (stove and cooler a spork and some food, lol) and then get out and explore. You will realize what you will need soon enough.
