So i've always been into off-roading, i've only had jeep's before. Xj Zj Wj mostly, i did have one YJ and i hated it. Since being with my girlfriend(who already had a 2005 King Ranch Expedition). After her motor blew, we decided to find another vehicle, so after searching we found a 2003 Ford Expedition XLT 4x4 4.6L which we picked up for $1300.

I drove this vehicle home 100miles, knowing the motor had a "knock" well on the way home i fell in love with it. we decided to fix her 05 and i was going to keep the 03. And so we became the Expedition family!!

After finding a motor and replacing it, being the off-roader that i am, i had to get back into the woods, so my first mods where tires, removing the the running boards, and a lift.

At this point the truck has proven itself to me, who knew the Ford Expedition of all things was such a capible vehicle?!? we made our first Overlanding trip to Jones Creek Campground in NorthWest GA,

The room, the power, i was amazed. so more modding must be done, next i did the leveling kit from ebay(so far its held up). Next thing done was roof rack and lighting, now a big thing we needed while on our trip was lighting for cooking and i don't carry lanterns with us so what i decided to do was put lighting all around the truck, including some light to shine while the rear hatch was open.

We also needed to setup the CB.

After getting all the power added to the truck and knowing i wanted to eventually get a fridge/freezer, and wanting to be more remote and self suffecient. i decided to add a dual battery setup and move all the wiring for the lighting to the rear of the vehicle with the second battery.

After setting up my battery charger and inverter, i decided to mount them a little more discreet, and upgrade my charger/maintainer. being that i don't have a solar charger/panel setup i keep my truck plugged in as much as possible, with the batteries tied together.

Since doing all this we have made plenty of trips out of state including our Winter Rally Trip with North Georgia Overland, and our more recent trip to TN for the Smoky Mountain Overland Rally. as well as plenty of camping/overlanding trips around Florida!!!

While adventuring these past few years we also decided to do a trailer build, tho it is small and only for storage we needed to get the things we packed out of the truck so we could have more room. i had an old trailer frame laying around (4x6) and decided to use it for my build. with the help of my Uncle and my Son we got started and built exactly what we needed. i took some ideas from the fellas and ladys with Sunshine State Overland and got to it, though it not complete it is usable and works great.
