so anyone interested in my long term build.....i have a 1986 F150 XLT 2 wheel drive with the 302 engine in her......now over the next year or two i'm going to build a expedition rig consisting of 1 ton axles a diesel and a purpose built rear box/container/platform and converting to 4 wheel drive.
Now before people say "go and buy a 4x4" i am not ..because the truck cost me 100$ and the fun part is building and experimenting and plus being an englishman in Canada i am still paying the stupid amount it cost to immigrate here lol so she WILL be "Built not Bought".

Sounds like a big project but if you have the interest I'd go for it. I tend to make what I have into what I want. I'm working on redoing my 84 Bronco again at the moment. It shouldn't be to hard to make it 4x4 a lot of the parts are interchangeable on these trucks for a lot of years. Have fun with it and turn it into what you want it to be.
