When I first started this project the plan was to just build a nice restomod/daily, but then it snowballed...

Started with a cheap 1967 c10 and a 2002 duramax that I rolled. I chopped 26 inches out of the chassis and welded it back together with a fish plate on the outside and c channel on the inside. Sat the cab and box on the chassis just sitting on 2x4s

Took it back apart to try and straighten the control arm mounts as they were twisted but the frame rails measured square and this is when it snowballs. The mounts were to too twisted to make it worth messing with. With all the broken junk I was with in $1000 of just doing an sas so off came the ifs.

And on went the WFO 3 inch sas kit.

Great choice for a truck, Really nice work. Personally I'd keep the fender with the ax marks. That's my favorite year chevy truck. Ron

Wow I haven't updated this thread in a while. Drip rail shaving is done, cab is in primer, doors are body worked, cab mounts have been finalized, box has been mocked up, core support is mocked up/mostly complete, new rear crossmember is welded in, and rear chassis is nearly ready for paint.

Core support things, core support will be 2 pieces so I can unbolt the upper part and lift the cab for when I have to do injectors and such without draining the radiator.

The core support is mostly done, reused some sheat metal from the kinked front box panel for filler and ended up cutting out more of the 67bcore support to add in 1x2 tubing along the top.

Rear cross member is complete and chassis painted. I also installed the new leaf springs and sulastic shackles.

Rear axle is currently out because its bent and I cracked it trying to straighten it. After looking at it some more it was already cracked in another spot before I even tried to bend it back.

And new video up. Trying to do one video a week.

Got my coilovers on Friday and tossed them in, Saturday morning I installed the rear axle after replacing the seals and painting it during the week.
