I'm getting the 7.3L van back next week. The 7.3 van is done, as in screwed. It needs a new engine and has body rust. To keep it going, the $$$ I would have to put in it, isn't worth it. So I'm going to swap everything I possibly can to the new rig, including the 4WD kit.

There will be a few issues with that, but not too bad.

The donor:

Here's the plan:

1. The front axle will swap, but will need a hub conversion ($1700).

2. The literally brand new transfer case has a 31 spline input, and it needs to be a 34 spline. I'm going to see if I can trade t cases with the place that sells them, or swap the input shaft myself.

3. Springs.

The 7.3 van BEFORE the 4x4 conversion, BUT the interior was completely built out.

Front: 3980
Rear: 4460

The box truck hasn't been built out yet, but a lot of weight will be added when I do.

Front: 2960
Rear: 3900

I'm thinking, that after I build out the back of the box truck, I will be very close to the same specs. Either way, they make progressive springs for the front, and I will be ordering those.

4. Driveshafts.

I think they will be close, if not perfect. Easy fix.

5. Rear axle.

I'm not 100% sure on this yet. If they can't swap, then I'll buy a 10.5 Sterling with the E locker and re gear it.
