3 days ago, I started a long overdue adventure into the unknown. As I was driving to get to my start point, I crossed the Mighty Mississippi and it dawned on me. This was the breaking point for the settlers of old! Imagine the courage, the will and determination these families had to muster and the tribulations they endured. Like Jeremiah Johnson, and those adventurous sorts… they “chose” to go only where the Eagles dare!

So with that mindset, I feel like Bilbo Baggins, off on a grand adventure!

I set up camp, sort of, at the Expo in Loveland, CO. Personally, not my cup of tea. I’m not into chasing the Jones with the latest greatest gadgets that are on display. I’m also sort of frugal and these sort of things are “big” money.

It is so windy and threatening to rain that I had a fun time setting up rear tent just to take it down when the rain came. Didn’t want to deal with wet gear first night. So as they say, practice setting it up makes perfect!!!

No better time to make dinner! Ribeye, peppers/onion and some veggies on the Blackstone! Yum!

I got the Blackstone last month, only difference is its the whole griddle version. Absolutely love it.

I understand your thoughts about expo, but one booth you might want to check out is Adventure Tool Company they make really great tool bags and rolls. I buy one at every expo, super nice people, family owned and everything made in Colorado.

Nice track by the way.

I saw that booth! I’m a tool guy so I will go back and talk to them! Btw, I’m wearing the OB shirt and a guy at the Expo ticket tent said “hey I haven’t seen that shirt in a while!”
Represent!! OB!
