guide books

Looking for tips on best trail guide books you guys are using. Heard "Guide to California Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails" was a good one, so I have that one in my amazon cart. Would love to hear what you guys are using to route plan. I do have GAIA GPS also for digital.
