Carry Bag For Cast Iron Griddle?

I too have tried this but gave up cause it just didn't fit anywhere and I often found heating the whole thing was un-needed. That said, that guy in Australia is making some pretty handy looking custom bags. Check him out Drifta.com.au. I bet he would be happy to design one. I for one would buy...

SOLD NC (EXPO EAST) 2016 Turtleback Trailer $19,995

Yeah, could well have been you. The guys that gave us the overview were I believe 3 owners with their TBs on a cement pad just between your setup and the expedition vans. Cool guys, ex-military and happy to share. Well I have been all over the board in my search for something doable and scaled...

SOLD NC (EXPO EAST) 2016 Turtleback Trailer $19,995

That is quite a list and sounds impressive. I went to their website and to be honest I never would have got any of that from there, least at a quick once over. So it sounds like it is cutting some weight. I would really like to see some pictures of this new config. A few months back, I attended...

SOLD NC (EXPO EAST) 2016 Turtleback Trailer $19,995

As a complete neophyte to the TB brand, I am curious as to what you get going to the newest model over this beauty here? Thanks for your time. -- Rick

    Sleeping Bags

For a years I have looked for good constant performance bags. Cats Meow, MilSpec systems, Down bags etc... all, were great in short uses. Most failed in wet, or super hot weather, altitude sweats. Then I came across Wiggys at the suggestion of a buddy on an overseas trip. I bought a couple of...

    Teardrop Trailer and water proofing

Years ago I had my last truck bed sprayed with something called ArmaCoat. It was incredible, at the time it had a finer texture to what others like Rhino and LineX were spraying. I really really liked it. Never had a single issue with it and it cleaned up well. The ground the truck bed clean in...

    Teardrop Trailer and water proofing

Not my idea for sure. Someone just happened to mention some coating processes like LineX may be applied after the trailer is built, thus coating everything. I get what you are saying.

    Teardrop Trailer and water proofing

Sorry for the late reply, been pretty busy. That too is a interesting idea....I don't really have it in for a lineX'd trailer, just saw it at the expo and thought dang... I need to look into this a little more. I think it is a pretty interesting idea and my wife thinks those are "cute". That...

I know this is about boots... but gotta just say that is a damn fine looking FJ. Running the same year and model... but still 100% stock. -- Rick

    Teardrop Trailer and water proofing

I wrote them a few weeks after the expo asking about a timeline for the testing on the Do-Drop with the coating. Haven't really heard back. One of the brothers was talking to be mentioned he thought it might be a bit thick of an application this first go around. Still I am curious as it looks...

    Teardrop Trailer and water proofing

Yeah I really like the TB, Had some time to chat with some good ole' boys who were showing theirs at the expo. I defiantly like them, the wife is just sort of luke warm on that style ... so far.. lol I hadn't thought about the seal of nuts, bolts and screws.. good thinking on that one. -- Rick

    Adventure Trailer, So Far

That would be interesting to hear about. All I have done is read about it, but it looks interesting. Likely it's a PIA to apply correctly and could be expensive too. Regardless.. it seems to have the answer to tarnish etc..

    Teardrop Trailer and water proofing

Thanks Boort, Yeah I have been looking and looking and looking. The Hiker has its appeal to me but my wife was more like "meh". I have had a long conversation with a guy who has a SoCal teardrop franchise and from that conversation, really, is the heart of what drives my question about water...

    Adventure Trailer, So Far

Impressive. Good to have skills, and tools. Nice job. I was looking at the nuthouse industries "Peanut" trailer, https://nuthouseindustries.com/expedition-trailers/peanut/that is all aluminum. The have an option for adding this product called sharkhide to preserve the metal...

    My new Overland Trailer

Very cool, I like the stance of that thing. I also really like your tube rails over the fenders. Nice job. How is the ladder on bare feet in the night?

    Teardrop Trailer and water proofing

huh, sort of thought that I would get at least some input on this post. Anyone? Maybe I am just errant in thinking that coating a teardrop in that manner as they did could be a good idea. -- Rick

    Teardrop Trailer and water proofing

One of the little trailers I saw at the Expo was by OregonTrailers.net called a Do-Drop. It had been linex'd and it has me wondering about the effectiveness of that coating and preventing water issues on a wood box long term. My wife loves the idea of a teardrop, and has Highly suggested I...

Yes to Cheeseman. My wife and I hiked that canyon from just north of Deckers through the gill trail and up canyon over the damn and then back on the ridge side. Beautiful until we go on the highside where it quickly started to look as if we had entered Mordor. 8 years or more after the fire and...

It is beautiful, and areas on the dream stream have amazed me with fish in place you could miss if you turned your head in the drive past. Been blown out a few times at the res., I have seen people in paddle boats end up across the other side as the wind was to strong to row against.
