Haha I used to have a 92 turbo with T-tops. Ended up selling it back to my uncle since it originally belonged to his mother (one badass lady). Handle ended up sticking.
I’m sill heading out to Hollister on Saturday, 28 July, so it’d be great to have any and all come out. ETA to the park will...

That sounds like a nice trip. How long is the drive out to Corral hollow? I’d like to go there some time, just don’t know the area.

Hey! Welcome!
I’m based in the Bay Area (San Mateo) and am also looking for local wheeling buddies. I’ve done a few trips but very much consider myself a novice.
Unfortunately, I can’t make the weekends you listed, but a friend and I are going to Hollister on July 28th if you’d like to come...
Unfortunately, no. Couldn’t get out that Sunday.
However, I did get to take the 4Runner up to the sierras with a couple of friends this past weekend. Got a good bit of mud on the car! Starting to feel like it’s really mine now.
A buddy and I are planning to visit Hollister weekend of July...
Ok, so this time, I checked the calendar, and there’s no closure of the park to the public on Sunday May 27. I’m headed there to wheel for the day. Probably arrive some time around 9:30 and just put around. Would anyone one be free to join?
Thanks!

Well darn, I’m out until the month of June. Y’all should go on and go for a sooner date. Hopefully I can kick up another thread later.

Welp, it's been too long since I've put tires on dirt so I'm contemplating a trip down to Hollister Hills SVRA on Saturday, April 28th. I've never been to the place and am a novice off road driver. Anyone interested in a day of wheeling? Mostly looking to try out light/moderate trails to test...
Hi all!
Guess I should introduce myself!
Bay Area, California.

San Mateo Here. Bone stock, locked 1997 80 series. Just got back from Mojave Road. I did the water section with a bit too much skinny pedal. Whoops!

Thanks Dan! That's really reassuring to hear.
We've all got CB's and have several GPX files with possible routes mapped. I saw a few pictures of the down hill section on OB's Instagram account. It looks like a doozy!
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
Big Sur is fantastic! Unfortunately, the Pfeiffer bridge collapsed during recent storms making Big Sur inaccessible from the North. At the moment, you'd have to loop around and come up from the South ~+4hrs in transit time. Hopefully Caltrans will provide...
This looks like it was a fantastic trip!
I plan on traveling Mojave Road with a couple of other rigs next week. We plan on taking 5 days or so to travel the trail East to West on a slow pace. Could any of you provide some insight to trail conditions and things we might need to be aware of...
