Thanks for the comment! Were there many other folks in the camping areas while you were there? I read on the park web page that Sand Flies were a problem near the river. Any issues with them for you?

Hello Members, I’m looking to explore Big Bend State Park in Texas next year around this time. I’ve been reading and watching videos. I plan on contacting the park for advice as suggested. Anyone on here been there?

This is my 85 CJ7, I’m the second owner, had it since it was two years old. As you can see it is in my garage and has been there for the past 30 years Lol! It has 29000 miles and I’m in the process of getting it out on the road again for this summer. Cheers!

More or less not camping in prepared sites. campgrounds, etc. Out in unprepared areas.
