The official OTO "Ozark Trail Overland" gear thread!

What slides are those and where did you get them? I’m in need of slides that can handle some weight. Hopefully they hold open too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Did you use those plastic connectors for aluminum square tube? I have seen them. Erode but was worried they couldn't really support weight on top. I'd like to sleep on them if I need too, I've design a section that flips over the folded down back seat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2010 Toyota Land Cruiser VX200

Love watching this build. So nice! How did you build the drawers? I've been looking at all the photos you posted but can't get a good view of what you did for the drawers. Are the just 1 piece bent and the corners held together with bolts through an L piece of aluminum? Is it really only 1.5 mm...

Gauge is a US term for thickness. Didn't even realize that may not be universal. They look really nice. I'm trying to design some myself for my rig. So the main structure is 19 mm squared. What thickness is it? Also what thickness is the drawer itself? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Basic 2nd battery set up....

I apologize if I'm ignorant, but is it safe to have a battery venting into the passenger space? I was under the impression they should be somewhere with a good bit of ventilation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How long ago was it since you used it? I'm very interested in it, I'm just trying to figure out a way I could fix the holes without just duck taping them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2004 Discovery 2 Expo Build

How much thicker aluminum would the aluminum needed to be? I'm still trying to learn when to use aluminum and steel. Personally I was looking at using .75 x .75 x 1/8 wall 6063 aluminum. My rig is pretty limited in space and I want to maximize as much as possible. I have also looked at jawing...

    2004 Discovery 2 Expo Build

I saw you said you used 1x1x0.065, I'm guessing that was steel? Also what thickness plywood did you use for the top of the platform and drawers? Now that I am on winter break I am about to build this. Just finalizing materials and slides. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
