Kentucky Adventure Trail (KAT) Ride July 2023

It was a great trip! I highly recommend it if you have a chance. We took 5 days and did 430 miles of it (Green on the map pic). Going back next year to do the next section. Beautiful part of the country!

Kentucky Adventure Trail (KAT) Ride July 2023

Hey all! We are looking to take a trip on the KAT this July but have never been. Anybody out there want to join in? Bonus points if you have been before and can act as a guide. So far we have 3 rigs (possibly 2 more- waiting to hear back) and a dual sport bike.

    Whynter Fridge

It is whisper quiet and doesn't use much electricity. I have a Rocpals electric generator and had it plugged in for 16 hours in the back of a pu truck this Summer.. Still had battery left when I arrived. Also- as the OP I have to say I am extremely happy with this purchase. I have used this...

    Whynter Fridge

I am currently using the Coleman electric cooler which is WAY better than a cooler with ice. No sogginess and the ice doesn't take up room. I highly recommend this as a step up from a cooler with ice. But they only cool to like 30-40 degrees below the outside temp and have a continuous draw on...

    Hot shower for overlanding

This is GREAT! I will be upgrading from my solar shower to this! As for privacy- we are lucky that we have an FJ. What I do is carry 2 cheap (opaque) shower curtains with me. If you open the clamshell doors you have the 2 walls of a shower stall. One curtain connects to your roof (with the...

    Whynter Fridge

Hey guys- Looking for advice on a Whynter fridge. I am military and AAFES carries this brand, but don't know much about them. I would love ARB but can't afford that right now. Anybody have any comments on the Whynter? The 2 they have are the 45Q and the 34Q. Thanks!

    DIY shower

Here are some closer pics of the parts and ends. Mine holds pressure pretty well. I will pump it up to 25psi and it lasts longer than I need it for a shower or whatever. I have a small bicycle hand pump that I carry with me and pump it before I use it.

    DIY shower

I made mine out of 4" PVC. It has a fill/pressurize cap on one end and a hose attachment on the other. Used it this past weekend and it was nice to have a warm shower after riding all day. The whole thing was maybe $50-$60. Everything came from Lowe's. I had to use white PVC because they didn't...

    Hi from Murder Beach SC

Hey everyone- MB, SC here. I have been doing vehicle-based expeditions in one form or another since I bought my first Toyota PU in 1989. I was living in the AZ desert then but now am here. I'm always up for an adventure!
