The OVS Nomad 270 Long Term Review - Spoiler It's Still Awesome

Well it's been two years, and 40k miles since I purchased my first Overland Vehicle Systems Nomad 270 Awning. When I first purchased the awning the were basically no reviews or info on the awning or much on the company it's self. My goal was to find a free standing awning, without the need to...

Don’t feel bad for anything. You shared your opinion, and one held by many of us since the awning came out. Like you I got onboard really early with mine. For most people it’s a great product. There is a bit of a trick to rolling it up, but once you get used to the process it’s fine.

I have the opposite experience. I had one on my Go Fast Campers and I used it all over the country without a problem. When I sold the GFC I immediately bought one for my new Super pacific camper. I have tried other awnings that friends have used and I can’t find anything better for the price...

Did a little video review of the awning I’ll list below, but if you skip to the end you’ll see my tips on folding the awning back up. The first few times I tried it was a real PITA, but after talking with Sean and using his tips I found it’s not too bad to do by yourself.

Nice! That is super fun, even in the rain. Have you tubed or kayaked the Hiawassee?

    Soggy Night in North Carolina

A couple weeks ago I made a spur of the moment decision to drive up to the edge of North Carolina from my home town of Chattanooga TN for a single night of camping. It was about a 3.5 hour drive to the site but I managed to get there before the sun went down. I found this campsite a little...

A local overlander here in Chattanooga TN put together the second annual New Years Day Trail Ride. We all met at a gas station just outside of the Cherokee National Forest before setting off...

Thanks everyone! It's been a slow build but I'm really happy with it. Hope to be building some drawers in the back of the jeep soon. It's always something!
