Don’t worry about the white showing through. That’s how they make white lettered tires. They vulcanize a white rubber strip on the side, and then black rubber over it. Then buff off the lettered area. Without the pictures, I could tell you it’s happening on the passenger side. Super common due...
Those with the AWD are snow killers as long as you never run it in AWD with different tires. It adjusts on revs per mile so the variance is only 4/32. Anything greater than that will make the truck think there’s a traction problem and try to correct it. You’ll end up killing your transfer case...
Finally some proper transmission advice. Those Chevys shift off of RPM and throttle. Itll shift just fine on it’s own. DONT drive around in 3rd gear ♂️. Down shifting coming off the freeway or something is a good idea but don’t leave it in third. It’s just going to be bogged down.
I’m not sure...
I started with a “6 Fabtech then upgraded to the Dirt Logic struts and shocks later. The truck drove great with the basic system, but the DL upgrades were very noticeable. Volant intake, Edge programmerI couldn’t find a front bumper I liked but the A.D.D. ones were the closest. I was able to...
I carry a pair of 2.5 (mostly due to fitment) so if I use one, I’ve got another backup. Two is one, one is none. Once they’ve been discharged, even a bit, they loose remaining pressure soon after. If I use one my first day out and then need it again at the end of the week, I may be SOL.
I bought 4 RV ViAir kits for my fleet. Solid kit that only requires minimal add ons. IE extra valve cores, extra air gauge, and core tool. I like the RV kit not only for the beef of the unit, but the extra hose will reach all the way back to a trailer.
My daily driver is an ‘04 4-Runner V8 Limited that finally blew its rear subwoofer. I had no idea how muck crap had to get pulled to get to it.
the Sub is in the passenger rear and the deck, carpet, pad, molding, seatbelt, and door sill had to be removed since the ENTIRE panel had to come out...
I’m in agribusiness and our whole fleet is Chevy (and 2 F150’s). We’ve replaced 5 transmissions this year, 3 starters, 3 condensers and 3 manifolds. The damn manifold bolts keep breaking cause they’re so dinky. Your ‘03 Chevy was their heyday. Everything post Gov. buyout has been a throw away...
Has anyone run a RIGd hitch spare tire carrier? I’d like a full size spare for my ‘04 T4R Limited since it’s an AWD. Also like the idea of being able to fit a RotoPax behind it. I commute to work and have a 30 mile gap between gas stations. I’d prefer a rear bumper with dual swing outs but...
