Mobile One has been doing good in my V-6 Tacoma. Same experience with dealer maintenance. It was good until they got bought out and consequently went downhill...like off a cliff. Did have a few trusted people that I would try to deal with but thankfully I have a good mechanic I can trust and...
I never knew being overly prepared was a thang!!:dizzy: My philosophy is that I had rather have it and not need it than... Weight and gas mileage are a distant second to things not going according to plan and things go real far South. If it a critical piece of equipment, like making my...
Been looking at some changes meself. The Tacoma has been a great performer for me as long as gas mileage and plush comfort is not a factor. Now looking at full-size for my old body. Not sure I can justify a Raptor but think a V-8 would be nice. Maybe a V-6. Not sold on these turbo 4-cyl...

I don't build too many fires while out camping but some might find this useful.
Coffee to wake up...gas. Kindle to fall asleep. Don't really care if I'm lost or talk to people but Li battery comes in handy occasionally. Oh, and laptop to pay bills. Don't put bunch of apps on my phone.
Personally, I would like to be out discovering new and remote places. My health is still good compared to most of my contemporaries. The ones that are still alive. One thing being very far out on the proverbial limb, as in overlanding, has reinforced is to listen to what your gut and instincts...
Well, since you axed, and it was my birthday, and I ain't getting any younger, and there was just too much money in my checking account:tearsofjoy:, etc., etc. I bought another boat. Because living around all this water, two were simply not filling all the niches. So now I have three boats...
I remember at about 13 yr. old dragging my buddies out to an old remote farm pond and camping on a weekend. Camping with Boy Scouts and even in the woods near home. That's probably when I started paying more attention to the weather. Remember some camping trips up on the Chattooga River during...
What we need is a cheap micro mini nuclear reactor for individual use. Maybe we could get old Elon on that since he's now only semi-occupied. :grinning:
I tried it with slight variations. Had to use orange marmalade and basmati rice. Very good! I like easy. Leftovers were even better after sitting on rice for a while.
That's a really good deal. Wish I had a Tundra! I have the same on my Tacoma and mounted the ladder rack they make and put my RTT on it. Works great. I did end up reinforcing it some. Great to be able to secure your stuff.
I'm on my second T Stuff hardshell. They sent me a new one when I showed them where the shell was developing fissures. Second one I have kept waxed per recommendations and clear coat is still starting to peel. Guess I could put some kind of vinyl wrap on it but will probably look for a better...
LOL, a full day drive...if only! Been there twice for about a week each time. Epic, keeps calling my name too. Most of the main FS roads were very well maintained. Some roads were definitely high clearance 4WD stuff. There is a lot of hunting starting in about September?? Fishing was good...
