Have Yellowstone booked this weekend, but don't want to camp in smoke, any Utah ideas?

That would be great. We are getting rain, but so far air quality hasn't improved. Does look to be improving SW of us, so maybe more time is needed for it to blow in.

Have Yellowstone booked this weekend, but don't want to camp in smoke, any Utah ideas?

I should add that I was in Rifle, CO for work last week, and it was better than the SLC area, but still not clear enough for any nice vistas.

Have Yellowstone booked this weekend, but don't want to camp in smoke, any Utah ideas?

Hello all! I have a spot reserved in a campground in Yellowstone for a 4 day weekend, but I'm worried about the air conditions. I'm down in Utah and most days we can't see the surrounding mountains, and some days, you can't even see the sun for all the smoke rolling in from CA and ID...

Does the App require a membership renewal?

Ok, so as of now, this is a feature and not a bug, correct? We all need to start paying the annual membership to use the features of the ap.

Does the App require a membership renewal?

I am a member with access to the map and rallypoint online, but the app just directs me to purchase another membership when I try to click on the map there. I'm happy to pay for a product, but I don't know if this is a bug or what.

Help! Do I need a truck?

My Alu-Cab was 4k all in with the kitchen, another storage box, camp table, and load bars to mount a tent. Couldn't be happier with it. I posted about it over on Tacoma World: Alu-Cab Explorer Canopy on 2019 DCSB I can't recommend the Tacoma enough, but you will need to upgrade the tires for...

    New Yaesu FTM-300DR vs FTM-400XDR?

The 300 doesn't support APRS. That is a deal breaker for me. I live in Utah. Many remote mountaintop repeaters out here also have APRS beacons. That is worth its weight in gold since you can check the recent station list and see what repeaters you are line of sight with. So if in the...

    Another HAM vs GMRS question

GMRS is best if in a convoy with other like-equipped trucks simply because it is less formal and more accessible to all that would be in your group, and that statement is a from a General class ham of about 10 years. Simply put, in a convoy of a dozen trucks, you'll find that a HAM license is...

    Hilux 2020 soft overland build

Good choice. I have the Tacoma because the US market prefers big trucks over the mid size. [edit: for the life of me, I do not understand why Toyota would build two nearly identical but different trucks in the exact same class. Kind of like they never read "The Toyota Way" before.] I...

    Rules for Overlanding

I thought this would be a fun topic, especially since I have a great photo to share. I used to live in Angola (loved it actually). We had two driving rules that we never violated: Never drive outside the city after dark. Never drive through standing water without first checking it. Never walk...
