    1999 Jeep XJ

Looks good! I definitely recommend a full leaf, especially if you plan to load it (they are easier to install too)

    1999 Jeep XJ

Thank you. Soon it'll have a bumper and tire carrier, that'll make it squat an inch or so

    1999 Jeep XJ

Quadratec is awesome and swapped my springs for 4886186AA. Which I wanted him the beginning but their descriptions suck. Wasn't totally their fault because if you read close you can get the right ones. But they helped me out anyway! here it is with the correct springs. Much better. (Still has...

    1999 Jeep XJ

Update... Quadratec has been really great to work with. They agreed that their site was not descriptive enough so they are sending me new springs and return labels for the ones I have. The springs they are sending are Crown 4886186AA. These have a higher Arch measurement and 755 lost capacity...

Did they lift the rear a bit?

    1999 Jeep XJ

With the tires now installed it is sitting much better, although I do still want the next heaviest springs.

    1999 Jeep XJ

I am hoping I do as well, however, I am a little upset that they have multiple springs labeled as "Heavy Duty". So the ones currently installed on my Jeep have a arch of 5 1/2" and 405 lb rating. Their other HD springs are 7" and 700lb. I would have definitely bought the heavier ones! And I...

    1999 Jeep XJ

Crown HD Springs and Coils installed. They barely made a difference in ride height which I was definitely surprised by. The ride is much much better, especially with Bilstien shocks. I ordered 2" shackles that will be installed tonight and hopefully that will level it out. BEFORE AFTER...

    1999 Jeep XJ

Some things coming together. Drawer system almost finished. Need to anchor it and finish a cutting board for the right side. Big suspension order coming soon as well too. I decided to go with Crown HD leafs and coils. Between those and 4 Bilstien shocks I'm hoping for a much improved ride and...

    1999 Jeep XJ

No "build" progress but figuring out what I need to carry tool and gear wise. Also trying to learn the jeep and it's quirks. The transmission is starting to have an issue. From a stop, normal throttle, it seems like it can't choose between 2nd and 3rd gear. It jumps back and forth. Hopefully...

I'll checkout those sites, I'm old school and prefer forums. I'm in those Facebook pages and 90% of it is straight trash

    1999 Jeep XJ

I will be doing a lot of boring updates and maintenance. This Jeep has a weird unknown history (auto-check starts at 64xxx miles) and so far ive found a couple weird things about it. Immediate needs... -Back hatch rattles pretty bad -Seat belt latch receivers missing in the back (ordered on...

    1999 Jeep XJ

Finally got a 4x4 again in the form of an XJ. I searched for months but couldn't find anything that wasn't rusted out. I want a rust free vehicle if I am going to be working on it myself! So yesterday I flew to Washington DC and drove this 750 miles home to Wisconsin. It needs some work but...

Toyota or Nissan for family Ovlerland rig?

Just researched that a bit, wow that would suck. Assuming I could avoid that issue with the 6spd manual, any other known issues?
