Have you tried looking on Outdoorsy? It’s like Airbnb or Turo for RVs/campers. Lots to choose from, even if you exclude traditional RVs from the search. You can find Sprinter vans or SUVs with rooftop tents. it’s worth a look.

Hi Jason, yes I got it handled in February. There was an issue with my permissions on their site. They fixed it and I was able to get it paid. Thanks for checking.

Yes that’s not the correct link apparently. I’ve tried both of the links there and neither one will let my proceed. According to the email from the FCC, the link should say FRN Financial. It shows a screen shot with the FRN Financial option, which is missing from the page when I log in.

Hi everyone, I passed my Technician exam a couple of days ago but I’m not able to pay my licensing fee on the CORES site. It recognizes my login and my FRN shows up, but the link to pay my fee is missing. Any tips? I’ve submitted a ticket through their website but haven’t heard anything yet...

That’s probably a great time to be there. Also, there’s a Trail Guardian cleanup planned for the Mojave 3/24-3/26, in case you feel like returning. There will be a few groups driving down from NorCal.

Well I just passed my technician test Monday night, so not sure I’m ready for General yet, but thanks for the great info on HF. I’m learning a lot, especially from posts like this.

Have you chosen a time of year to do it? The NPS just announced that the soda Lake portion has reopened. I’ve only done a few sections myself but the Lava Tube is great and don’t miss the Mojave Road mailbox, which isn’t far from the tube. I’ll let others chime in on recommended length of...
