    Successful trip to Stowe Vermont

Yup, B&J is sort of the prototypical tourist trap. The Dairy Queen in Montpelier is more like the real deal. And the three covered bridges are a must see. And while your up that way, keep on going over the mountain and into the valley on the other side, then up over 17 to Bristol for a real...

    Successful trip to Stowe Vermont

Great photos. For your next trip, hit the Cider Mill and Lost Nation Brewery. Groton State Park is nice - some great hiking. Little River is wonderful. Green River outside of Morrisville has sites only accessible by kayak or canoe. Also the brewery at Trapp Family Lodge. Plenty more to see and...

Cellular enabled iPad or bluetooth enabled GPS such as inReach

I won't disagree that a dedicated PLB is a great choice but it also has some limitations. With the InReach you can temper that by communicating the nature of the emergency. Are...

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Just purchased some RSG sliders for my new 4Runner Pro. Waiting for them to get powder coated by a buddy here in VT so no photos (yet).

    Stock Toyota GPS Software Capability

Even my new 2018 4Runner nav sucks as far as detail is concerned. It will work for on-road navigation OK but I would rely on a dedicated GPS for anything remotely resembling back roads or trails.

Cellular enabled iPad or bluetooth enabled GPS such as inReach

We have had an InReach since the first one came out, thinking it was invaluable when in remote regions on the motorcycle. It has proven to be rugged and reliable in the most difficult of conditions. I consider the InReach an essential piece of gear for anyone traveling in remote locations. We...

    New guy from Vermont

Thanks Chad. Looking forward to reading about what everyone else is doing. Not sure I'll be spending a lot in the near future since I just bought 2 new 4Runners. :-)

    New guy from Vermont

Long time adventure motorcycle guy (BMW R1200GS) and truck camper who just purchased a new 2018 4Runner Pro (and a new Limited 4Runner for HER). My last 4Runner was a 2005 V8. Awesome truck that I should never have traded but this new rig is pretty sweet. New RSG sliders just arrived today so I...
