Keep in mind synthetic line is like synthetic rope, it attracts fine grit into the weave. Just like climbing rope it needs to be washed out at some point even if it's just water from a garden hose sprayed on it once stretched out .

The gorge is fantastic, keep in mind some areas are closed due to fire started from a camp fire the state is still under a no burn ban. Not familiar with the trail your looking at but if it's around that area it will be great.
