Northern California Roof top tent vendors

Much appreciated! I'll hit them up for sure. Looks like they only take appointments to view their showroom. Fancy!

Northern California Roof top tent vendors

I'm looking to buy a rooftop tent by the end of the year. Specifically, I have my eyes on a James Baroud hardshell. Does anyone know of vendors in the Northern California area that sells them and has a showroom? Before I buy one I really need to make sure it's a good fit for me. I'm 6'6" so...

    Alabama Hills

Thanks for the replies. I ended up going alone (left early Friday morning). When I arrived there were plenty of spots to choose from. It did start to get a bit more crowded as the day progressed. I only spent one night as it started to rain Friday night and more was apparently on the way...

    Alabama Hills

I'm looking for advice from anyone who has camped at Alabama Hills. I've been planning a trip for this weekend. My original plan was to leave early Friday morning in order to get there by around noon-ish to set up camp. However, my wife and son are now saying they want to go to but they have...

Wow that's a lot. If that much is really needed for a DV trip then I need to go back to the drawing board. I was thinking a spare 4 gallon tank would be enough. :fearscream:

I'm going to have to take my name off the "maybe" list. The timing just isn't working out for me with prep and projects at work. This definitely helped spur me on to to start gathering all the necessary stuff I need for one of these trips. And I'll be following this thread to see how things go.

Yeah, I was considering MORryde's spare tire gas mount. I also have a trasharoo, so the can could go in there, I suppose. We'll see. I'll keep you posted.

@MEU(SOC) This is the only thing I'm not really equipped for at the moment and will probably need more time to figure out how to modify my jeep to accommodate extra gas cans. Which has me thinking I may not be ready for a big trip to DV just yet. At least not in a week's time. Those plans for...

New to the group and new to overlanding. DV has been a place I've always wanted to visit. @MEU(SOC) I see you're in NorCal. I live in Oakland. What is the drive down to DV like? How much could one experience from the 7th-9th? I may be interested if I can move some things around at work. I'd...

Thank you! I will check them out. I get up to north sometimes to run through the snow on the Mormon Emmigrant trail. So much snow up where you are this year.
