What About "Idiots" on Our Trails?

I may have to apologize for myself here. While the majority of trails in the San Juan's of SW CO I play in are relatively clean of trash, there is a huge issue of going off trail. the peak of Black Bear Pass is one horrible example. Also, the creation of fire pits where there may be another...

    Colorado

Great looking rig. hope your co-pilot got better and you were able to continue. I run the San Juan Mtns. in SW Colorado pretty frequently. if you are ever in the area, let's go play over a few passes.

    Fly Fishing

I love that concept. I have taught many people to fly fish by standing sideways, and throwing 20 ft. of line to their left then their right to get the feel and see a cast and back cast.

What keeps you from overlanding more?

As I mentioned before, most of the time it's an issue of having money and time coincide. While I don't get hung in the "just let me add one more accessory" type thing, my overlanding outfit is around 25 years old and I spend more time just replacing worn out or broken parts which keep me from...

SW Region - Meet Up Planning - Consolidated Thread

If I can get my new rear track bar in by then, I will be there. Relocation brackets suck.

    Jeep Owners Represent!

Update on the Just Empty Every Pocket. my 5.2's starter went out, now replaced. Put another serpentine belt on elderly friend's ZJ, fired it up and discovered a low idler arm is frozen, so will replace the idler arm and try one more time. I am still trying to put the rock sliders, snorkel and...

    Jeep Owners Represent!

Sold my 4.0 ZJ to an elderly friend who knows nothing about vehicles, consequently, his/my jeep is setting in my driveway with a broken serpentine belt. Waiting on my middle son to come up and replace as my hip is throwing fits. I loaned him my 5.2 till said middle son comes up here to collect...

    Kokopelli Trail - 3 Day Ride - 04/27/2018

Won't be the first time I've been waitlisted. I think my ex-wife did that to me also.

Get Over it!!! (Overland Humor :-)

Gotta be a joke and love it. That's the Wall on Poughkeepsie gulch in the San Juans of CO. My youngest flipped an ATV here. it's deceptively steep. Excuse the language, but love to see F##k ups on this pitch. I am surprised he made it this far up the gulch without tearing his side boards up.

    Kokopelli Trail - 3 Day Ride - 04/27/2018

Somehow my last post disappeared, but yes, put me on the list. My photographer has bailed as he has a wedding shoot the first day, but if anyone from the Four corners area wants to copilot, let me know. My dog and I have a seat for one more.

    Kokopelli Trail - 3 Day Ride - 04/27/2018

Love the idea. If I can get my rock sliders on before then, I'll be there. Yeah, longer story than worth telling. My youngest owns Venture Photography, so will try to round him up for pictures, and do any spotting I need done.
