completely agree and i think you will be super happy with them, I don't think you can beat them especially for the price. I get tires at cost since i have a shop and i can buy 2 sets for what my coopers cost.
I had atturo m/t's on my last rover and current rover and have put a bunch of miles on them and they have worn nicer than the set of cooper stt pros that i had and work great in anything i have thrown at them, I am considering a set of the XT's for my wifes evoque
so much of this relies on vehicle weight, there are some references out there online but its gonna take experimenting to figure out what pressure works best for your rig.
before you go spending crazy money on mods i would consider doing the timing chain fix if it wasn't already done, do that and a water pump while you are in there for peace of mind that it wont break on you and leave you stranded.
they actually cannot do this it is against the law, sucks you got screwed but they have to be able to prove the modification caused the issue. modifications do not always void factory warranty, if you have an aftermarket warranty that would vary from company to company depending how it is worded.
