    Central Illinois

I was near Mark Twain NF in March wheeling with a group and it was very cool. Also was lucky enough to score some Jeep club maps of Shawnee from a guy on the trip. More than happy to scan and send them to you

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

RLD Stainless Steel Topper/Canopy with rail slides. Made a base plate to anchor battery and fridge, installed and wired solar panel, leds and switch panel. Just waiting on my top tracks to mount my rack and tent then it's off to MT and WA for 2 weeks of camping and exploring...

Plates and bowls, let's overthink this together

Go to the kids section of any Target/Walmart, they have everything you'll need for under $2 per plate/bowl. I bought full sets for the camp box including the old "TV Dinner" style with one large space for your main dish and three smaller spots for sides. They stack together, they're light...

    Portable Toilet

Storage is definitely an issue, one of those things that when you've got to bring it will have to leave something else at home. I'm looking to buy a new topper and RLD has an elevated storage system that is perfect for items you need to bring but rarely actually use so that's likely going to be...

    Portable Toilet

I just picked up a small Dometic for under $100 at REI using their 20% off member deal. Purchased for daughter and wife for the same reasons you mentioned, it's pretty compact (16" x 12" x 14"/ 2.5 gal, I think) and light. Honestly hoping it doesn't get much use since I'll be the one likely...

    DIY Camp Shower

Very cool, mine is just under 5 gal and I mount it on the side of my bed rack so definitely needed the cradle. My fab skills are, let's just say, nonexistent so had to go the retail route, haha! On the bright side, it works well and when hooked up to my compressor is just like home only with a...

    DIY Camp Shower

I had the same issue with the cap, someone told me to put Vaseline on the threads and it helped (not sure what type of cap you have, obviously). For mounting I used a conduit mounting kit for 4" PVC, think it was $30 but worth it since it has a concave cradle that holds the PVC nice and snug...
