For longer trips when I want more than 10m, I use a Hustler vertical with interchangeable resonators. I’ve got 10-80, but often hang on 17. i Mount this on my trailer hitch.

Oh no way. You need at least 12” lift, plus a YouTube channel, drone, trasheroo, and a scottle to even think about it.

if you search for the GM 2011 municipal vehicles upfitter manual, there is a schematic in there for the special service Tahoe models. That could be a good starting point. I used it to track down and rebuild the circuiting savaged when mine was decommissioned.
